Our 14 AWG nichrome wire is perfect for professionals and hobbyists alike. This particular resistance wire is Nichrome 80, an alloy nominally composed of 80 percent nickel and 20 percent chromium. This mixture gives the wire great mechanical strength and resistance to oxidation at high temperatures. Our wire conforms to ASTM B344 specifications, and is rated for continuous use at up to 1200°C (2192°F).

You can find nichrome 80 used in electronic cigarette & vape coils, hot wire cutters for foam/plastics/rubber, and tools & appliances that utilize an enclosed heating element, such as soldering irons, hair straighteners, clothing irons, toasters, and water heaters. Remington Industries offers this resistance wire in 7 different spool sizes and 10 different wire gauges (from 14 to 32 AWG) to best fit your project.

I use it to make a heating mat/rug driven with DC current. Warm feet and no more cancer ! ;)

I love Remington's 14 AWG nickel Nichrome 80 heating wire. I manufacture (for myself) a heating mat/rug for cold floor areas. My special trick is I drive it with DC current not AC curren in order to eliminate POTENTIAL ondulating wave radiation ;) I am in love with Remington.
