This 304 stainless steel meets ASTM A276 specifications and is a general-purpose steel alloy that reacts well to hardening by cold working. Not only is it highly resistant to corrosion and heat, but it’s also easy to form and weld. Comprised of 8 percent nickel and 18 percent chromium, it demonstrates excellent oxidation resistance when used in temperatures up to 1,600°F.
